How can we help?

Validation Results & Action Types

This article explains the Validation Results and Action Types tabs in your IntegrityCounts setup sheet. These fields help you track how reports are handled and what actions were taken.

Validation Results:

Validation results refer to how a case was assessed after review. These dropdown options help categorize outcomes for internal tracking and reporting.

Examples:

  • Substantiated
  • Unsubstantiated
  • Inconclusive
  • Referred to External Body

Best Practices:

  • Use neutral, professional language.
  • Choose categories that reflect your investigative workflow.
  • 3 to 6 core options is ideal.

Action Types:

Action types describe the response or follow-up taken once a case is reviewed. These help show accountability and closure steps.

Examples:

  • Disciplinary Action Taken
  • Policy Updated
  • Training Issued
  • No Action Required

Best Practices:

  • Use clear and consistent phrasing.
  • Align terms with your organization’s internal procedures.
  • Ensure they make sense for reports across all case types.
