How to Manage Columns in Case Manager

Quick Reference

Columns control what information appears in your case table. By customizing which columns are visible, you can build a dashboard view tailored to your role, whether you're triaging new cases, tracking resolution timelines, or preparing data for export.

Click the Columns button in the top right of the case table to open the column picker.

Toggling Columns On and Off

1. Click Columns in the top right corner of the case table.

2. Expand any of the four sections: Details, Description, Investigation, or Actions.

3. Check or uncheck the columns you want to show or hide.

Your case table updates immediately. The columns you select also determine what appears in CSV exports and scheduled Case Reports.

Recommended Column Combinations

The right column setup depends on what you're trying to accomplish:

Goal Columns to Enable
Daily triage Report Date, Status, Priority, Days Open, Assigned To
Resolution speed tracking Days Open + Closed On (side by side to see time from open to close)
Outcome analysis Validation Type + Action Type (substantiation rates and resolution types at a glance)
Compliance overview Location + Department + Case Types + Status (complete operational snapshot)
Export preparation Enable everything you need in the CSV, then export. Your column selection determines your export columns.

Key Takeaways

Columns control what you see on your dashboard and what appears in your exports. Use the four sections (Details, Description, Investigation, Actions) to build a view that matches your workflow. Your column selections carry over to CSV exports and scheduled Case Reports.
