How can we help?

What is 'Protect Your Report'?

Quick Reference

Protect Your Report is a feature in IntegrityCounts that lets you identify individuals who should not have access to your report. When you name someone using this feature during the filing process, the system automatically restricts that person from viewing your case if they are a case manager.

How It Works

When you file a report through IntegrityCounts, you will see a section asking whether there is anyone you want to protect your report from. If you enter a name, the system checks whether that person is a case manager in your organization's IntegrityCounts account.

  • If they are a case manager: They are automatically restricted from the case. They will not be able to see, search for, or receive notifications about your report.
  • If they are not a case manager: They never had access to begin with, but the information is recorded for the investigation team's reference.

When Should I Use This Feature?

Use Protect Your Report when:

  • Your report involves a manager, director, or executive who might normally have access to case data
  • You are concerned that a specific person in a leadership role could see your report
  • The person you are reporting about is in your direct chain of command

You can list multiple individuals if your concern involves more than one person.

Is It Really Confidential?

Yes. Restricted managers have no indication that the case exists. They cannot see it in their dashboard, search results, scheduled reports, or exports. The restriction is logged in the case's Activity Log for audit purposes, but only other authorized case managers can see that log.

Key Takeaways

Protect Your Report gives you control over who can see your case. Name anyone you want restricted during the filing process, and the system automatically blocks them if they are a case manager. Your report stays confidential from the individuals you identify.
