How can I add an attachment to my report?
Quick Reference
You can attach supporting documents, photos, screenshots, or other files to your IntegrityCounts report at two points: when you first file the report, or later when communicating with investigators through the messaging system.
Adding Attachments During Filing
When filing a report, look for the Attach Files or Upload option in the report form. Click it to browse your device and select the file(s) you want to include with your report.
You can upload multiple files. Each file is scanned for viruses and malware before being accepted.
Adding Attachments After Filing
If you need to add more documentation after submitting your report:
- Log in to your case using your case number and password
- Use the messaging system to send a new message
- Click the attachment icon in the message toolbar to add your file
- Add a brief note explaining what the attachment is, then send
Investigators will see your attachment along with your message.
File Types and Limits
For details on accepted file types and maximum file sizes, see What type of attachment can I upload? What's the size limit for attachments?
Privacy Considerations
If you are filing anonymously, be aware that some file types (such as Word documents and photos) may contain metadata that could identify you. Consider removing metadata before uploading, or use screenshots or PDFs instead of original files.
Key Takeaways
Attach files during the initial filing process or later through the messaging system. All uploads are scanned for security. If filing anonymously, be mindful of file metadata that could reveal your identity.
