IntegrityCounts Knowledge Base

How can we help?

Can I delete a message or attachment?

Quick Reference

Messages and attachments in IntegrityCounts cannot be deleted once they have been sent or uploaded. This is by design to maintain the integrity of the investigation record and ensure a complete audit trail.

Why Can't I Delete Messages or Attachments?

IntegrityCounts is designed as a tamper-proof investigation platform. Every message, attachment, and action is permanently recorded to:

  • Ensure the investigation record is complete and unaltered
  • Meet regulatory and audit requirements for ethics reporting programs
  • Protect the integrity of evidence in case of legal proceedings
  • Maintain trust in the reporting system for all stakeholders

What If I Sent Something by Mistake?

If you accidentally sent a message to the reporter or posted an internal message in error:

  • For reporter messages: Send a follow-up message clarifying or correcting the error. The reporter will see both messages.
  • For internal messages: Post a follow-up internal note explaining the correction. Your team will see the context.
  • For attachments: If an incorrect file was uploaded, add an internal note explaining which attachment should be disregarded and upload the correct version.

All corrections are visible in the Activity Log, maintaining full transparency.

Key Takeaways

Messages and attachments are permanent in IntegrityCounts. This protects the investigation record and ensures audit compliance. If you make an error, add a follow-up message with the correction.
