How To Create Reports in IntegrityCounts Insights
Why Insights Matters
While the Case Manager allows you to handle individual reports, Insights transforms that raw data into strategic intelligence. It moves your organization from reactive case management to proactive culture building.
Key Strategic Benefits:
- Identify Systemic Issues: Spot patterns (e.g., a spike in "Harassment" in a specific "Warehouse" location) before they become lawsuits.
- Resource Allocation: See which departments generate the most volume to allocate training resources effectively.
- Board & Audit Assurance: Instantly generate visual evidence of your compliance program's activity and responsiveness.
Part 1: Accessing & Visualizing Your Data
Inside Case Manager, users can access Insights to view a thorough visual breakdown of their cases. This visual approach allows you to grasp the "big picture" of your organization's ethical health instantly.
1. Entering the Dashboard
To access the tool, click the 'Insight' button on the top navigation bar next to Case Manager.
2. The Power of Filtering
Data is only useful if it's relevant. The Insights tool uses the same powerful filtering engine as the Case Manager, allowing you to slice data to answer specific questions, such as "How many safety incidents occurred in the West Coast branch this quarter?"
Why this is important: By isolating variables (Location, Department, Case Type), you can distinguish between an isolated incident and a cultural problem.
3. Choosing Your Visualization
Different data tells different stories depending on how it is presented. You can toggle each widget between two views:
- Pie Charts: Best for seeing proportions (e.g., "What percentage of our cases are anonymous vs. identified?").
- Bar Graphs: Best for comparing volumes (e.g., "Which month had the highest number of reports?").
4. Generating Instant Board Reports
For ad-hoc meetings or audit requests, you can download a visual summary of your current view immediately by clicking Generate PDF. This creates a professional-grade document reflecting your current filters and graphs.
Part 2: Automating Compliance with Scheduled Reports
One of the most valuable features of Insights is the ability to "set it and forget it." Scheduled reporting ensures that key stakeholders remain informed without needing to log in and manually pull data every week.
Why Schedule Reports?
- Consistency: Establishes a regular rhythm for reviewing ethics data.
- Accountability: Puts case volume and closure rates directly in front of management.
- Security: Ensures stakeholders only see the data they are authorized to see.
How to Set Up a Schedule
Step 1: Define Your View
First, apply your desired filters in the dashboard. Then, click the Insights Report button and select Schedule Report.
Step 2: Configure Parameters
Name & Frequency: Give the report a clear name (e.g., "Monthly Safety Trends") and choose a delivery cadence (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly).
Step 3: Add Recipients Safely
You can add internal investigators or external partners (like legal counsel) to the distribution list.
Step 4: Activate
Click Send Test Email to verify the output, then click Schedule Report to activate the automated workflow.
