Every case has an Activity Log that keeps tracks of every user action. This includes events like viewing a case, receiving and sending messages, editing case details, uploading or removing attachments, editing restricted managers and investigators, adding and removing tasks, etc.
This feature makes it easy to quickly audit all actions taken throughout case investigations from when a new case is filed to when it’s closed. You can also export the activity log to Excel if you wish to share it with outside stakeholders.
To view a case Activity log:
- Click on the relevant case row to open the case
- Click ‘Activity Log’ in the left navigation
To sort and apply filters to events in the Activity Log
- To sort events by column in the Activity Log, click on the arrows beside the column title you wish to filter. This will sort the column chronologically or alphabetically, click the the arrows a second time to reverse the sorting order.
- To search a column for a specific value, like a user name, click on the filter icon beside the column title, check the relevant value from the dropdown menu, and click ‘Search’. Click ‘Reset’ if you wish to remove the checkboxes from that specific column, click ‘Reset Filters’ if you wish to remove all filters from Activity Log results.
To export the activity log to Excel:
- Click on ‘Export to Excel’ and a file will download to your computer.
